Short term scientific mission (STSM) in Rennes

Zebrafish (Danio rerio) sperm cryopreservation was the topic of my research work in the Laboratory of Fish Physiology and Genomics, Rennes, France, where I spent 2 months. Through our work, we tried to refine the circumstances of cryopreservation.

Short term scientific mission (STSM) in Warsaw

Jelena and our colleague Kinga Katalin Lefler, leader of the histology lab at our Department, during March were in a two-week visit to the Division of Ichthyobiology and Fisheries, Faculty of Animal Science, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Warsaw, Poland.

In collaboration with colleagues prof. dr Teresa Ostaszewska and prof. dr Maciej Kamaszewski and their team, they tested the application of different antibodies to identify spermatogonia in testis samples of different freshwater fish species and quantified them by stereological method. Special attention was given to application of some new antibodies for fish which have been previously deigned for other species.
